KITEFLITE

CSS will host a KITEFLITE on September 16, 2012 at Kirtland Park in Cleveland from 10am ~ 6 pm. Participants are encouraged to make their own kite from recycled materials, enter the kitefite to compete and wear your best for a blustery fall day by the stormy shore of Lake Erie. Workshops for making your own kite, the paper for the kite and general volunteer organization will be announced on this page in the next few weeks. We are currently working with St. Clair Superior Development Corporation for more opportunities in the area and we are working to see if vendors are possible this year. The weekend of Sept 14 - 16, 2012 in Cleveland will also host the Ingenuity Festival downtown and various art festivals since it the Sparx in the City Weekend. We would like to offer a cool free visual event for those interested in steampunk culture, recycling materials, recreational windpower, alternative engineering and kite flight. Awards will be presents for dynamically designed kites, personal flight apparatus and the winner of course of the final event : the kite fites.
